Prof. Daniel Simberloff is an ecologist who has served on the faculty
of the
Department of Biological Science at Florida State University in Tallahassee
since 1968, with interests in conservation biology and the composition of
biotic communities. He is a member of the Board on Biology of the National
Research Council, the Board of Governors of the Nature Conservancy, and
the Invasive Species Specialist Group of the International Union for
Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN).
