Dr. Charles F. Kennel, a space scientist and member of the National Academy of Sciences, is currently Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs at the University of California in Los Angeles. Dr. Pierre Morel, now a visiting senior fellow at NASA Headquarters and a visiting Senior Scientist at the California Institute of Technology/Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, is an atmospheric scientist from France who served for many years as Director of the World Climate Research Program of the World Meteorological Organization and International Council of Scientific Unions.
