Prof. Richard C. Rockwell, the Executive Director of the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research at the Institute for Social Research of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, is a sociologist who became involved in the human dimensions of global environmental change while a Staff Associate of the Social Science Research Council in New York City.
