This brochure states that the Business Council for a Sustainable Energy
Future was formed in 1992 by business leaders from the renewable energy,
natural gas, efficiency and utilities industries in many parts of the United
States who share a commitment to pursue a new national energy strategy for
the 21st century and beyond.

This new strategy is designed to realize the nation's economic,
environmental and national security goals through the rapid technologies.

To achieve this end, the Business Council supports energy-related policies
and programs at the federal and state levels which: improve energy efficiency
in all sectors of the economy; accelerate the commercialization of renewable
energy resources: and promote greater use of natural gas in energy production
and end-use.
