The purposes of this document, The U.S. Interagency UV-Monitoring
Network Plan Developed by the Ultraviolet Radiations Panel Observations
Working Group Subcommittee on Global Change Research, Committee on
Environment and Natural Resources Research, are:
1) To establish guidelines for the U.S. Federal government UV-
monitoring community to ensure that the data collected at each site are
accurate, intercalibrated and easily available to UV-data users through
the use of common data archival and retrieval mechanisms.
2) To inform decision makers, scientists, and other persons with an
interest in U.S. Federal UV-radiation monitoring and research activities
of the capabilities and plans of the agencies active in this field.

This report includes: An Executive Summary; maps; a listing of
Members of the USGCRP UV Panel; a Selected Reading List on UV
Radiation Activities and Issues; and, a listing of UV-related activity
points of contact within the agencies of the USGCRP .
