Planning Academic Research Facilities: A Guidebook covers the planning of
research facilities at research institutions, colleges, and universities. The
Guidebook is divided into two parts:

The first part covers the Project Process and includes the stages of the
project process and the role of each participants, the needs and priorities of
the pre-design, the design process and construction process.

The second part provides guidelines for cost, for space planning and
programming, and for operating systems. Information is also provided for
renovation, facility operations and maintenance, and codes and regulatory
requirements.

The Guidebook includes a glossary and a selected bibliography.
