Compact Disc Read-Only Memory (CD-ROMs) are convenient and inexpensive media to store large amounts of data and information. The information stored on a CD-ROM may include data, text, graphics, audio, and software. Given the large amounts of information stored on a CD-ROM, and that many data sets require more than one disc for storage, it is not practical to access information from CD-ROMs on-line. The following items describe CD-ROM products that are available from various sources. Some of these products are free, but most are available for a nominal processing fee.
