Fifth Conference on Polar Meteorology. Regional or model-oriented

sessions will explore the impact of boundary layer processes on climate and global change.
A special session to commemorate the 25th anniversary of GATE will be held jointly with

like the role of atmospheric and oceanic boundary layer processes in ENSO, and development
of coupled ocean-atmosphere climate models. A joint session on boundary layer processes

Types for Flexible Instruments: The Situation after Buenos Aires. This workshop is
part of the European Commission DGXII Project (ENRICH Programme) Packaging and
Promotion of Community Socioeconomic, Energy/Technology, and Scientific Research in the
Field of Climate Change. It will review research conducted by the European Community
on policies and measures (cost-effectiveness, social and environmental impacts, effects on
international trade, etc.), burden sharing, flexible instruments (emission trading, joint
implementation, and the clean development mechanism), sinks of greenhouse gases, and the
basket of greenhouse gases (evaluation of global-warming potential). It will also address
current experiences in third-world countries, with a view to discussing the impact of
