The European Community Commission seeks proposals for the European Program on Climatology and Natural Hazards (Epoch), aimed at developing strategies to deal with greenhouse gas emissions. Areas of research include past climates and climate change, climate processes and models, and climate-related hazards and their impacts. Proposals should be sent by Nov. 30, 1989, to the Commission of the European Communities, Directorate-General for Sci. Res. and Devel., Epoch Prog., Directorate XII/E-2, 75 rue Montoyer, B-1040 Brussels, Belgium. An announcement appears in the Aug. 3 Official Journal of the European Communities.
