The following relate to the international meeting
on limiting carbon dioxide emissions held in Noordwijk, the Netherlands, last
November (see Global Climate Change Digest, NEWS, Dec. 1989):
The Noordwijk Declaration on Atmospheric Pollution and Climatic Change
is reprinted in Intl. Environ. Rptr. (pp. 624-627, Dec. 1989) with
accompanying articles, and by U.S. IPCC News (Dec. 1989) with a White
House statement on the meeting. The latter publication primarily covers
activities of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change; contact Mason
Charak (new address), Nat. Clim. Prog. Off., Universal Building, S. 518, 1825
Connecticut Ave. NW, Washington DC 20235 (202-673-5360).
"Former Dutch Environment Minister Discusses Noordwijk Meeting,
Financial Aspects of Global Warming," World Clim. Change Rep., pp.
26-27, Dec. 1989. (An interview with Pieter Winsemius; related articles are in
the same issue.)
"Disentangling the Greenhouse," J. Maddox, Nature, p. 339,
Nov. 23, 1989. An editorial maintaining that scientific uncertainty justifies a
careful approach to any international convention on climate.
