The final version of the Environmental Protection Agency's comprehensive report, The Potential Effects of Global Climate Change on the United States, was sent to Congress in January, with no significant changes from the 750-page draft released October 1988. (See Global Climate Change Digest, NEWS, Feb. 1989.) An executive summary is available (Public Info. Ctr. (PM-211B), U.S. EPA, Washington DC 20401; 202-382-2080), and the entire report (EPA-230-05-89-050) may be purchased from the Govt. Printing Off., Washington DC 20401 (202-783-3238). A companion report (Global Climate Change Digest, REPORTS, Apr. 1989) is being revised to include cost estimates for various options for reducing greenhouse gases, and should be released soon.
