Focus On Global Change is a bibliographic current awareness
service for personal computers started by the Institute for Scientific
Information (ISI), the publishers of Current Contents. Diverse topics
relating to human impacts on the environment are covered, including urban air
pollution, toxic substances, agriculture, water pollution and biodiversity as
well as global climate change. Subscribers receive biweekly diskettes with
multidisciplinary entries selected from over 14,000 science and social science
journals, books and proceedings. The majority of entries include author
abstracts. Entries can be browsed by journal title, searched by author names or
by title words or topic keywords, saved in personal files or printed. Reprints
may be requested by printout on post card forms provided. Reviewed by J. Plaza

Reports to the Nation is a series of booklets being prepared by
UCAR in conjunction with NOAA to raise awareness of issues relating to global
environmental change, aimed at the general public, secondary schools and
universities. The first of these, The Climate System (21 pp., Winter
1991) will be followed by The Ozone Shield later this year. Produced by

A Global Warming Hypercard has been assembled for Apple
computers by volunteers of that firm and the International Foundation for the
Survival of Humanity. Described as an animated tour of global warming, it guides
the user through potential impacts and concerns of scientists, actions
individuals may take to limit emissions, and information on involved
environmental organizations. Econet, a non-profit, worldwide ecological computer
