Tiempo is being published every few months by the International Institute for Environment and Development and the University of East Anglia to remedy the lack of communication inhibiting Third World involvement in international negotiations on climate change. Supported by the Swedish International Development Authority and WWF International, the publication includes news, comment, articles on research and policy, book reviews and conference reports, event notices and sources of information. Examples of topics covered in the three, 25-page issues of 1991: accusations of political influence in a World Resources Institute analysis, made by the Centre for Science and Environment in New Delhi (see GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE DIGEST "News," June 1991); an alliance intended to provide a common voice for Central America in climate negotiations; concerns of small island states; activities of India's Tata Energy Research Institute.
