Ministers from countries of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development produced a policy statement on sustainable development in early December. (See Reports, this GLOBAL CLIMATE CHANGE DIGEST issue--Jan. 1992.) The meeting included considerable discussion between the U.S. and Europeans over the same themes left unresolved in climate treaty negotiations, commitments to reducing CO2 emissions and help for developing countries to do the same.
