- "Reduce Carbon Emissions Sooner than Later?"
U.S. modelers found that if CO2 emission
controls are inevitable, they should be imposed gradually
rather than abruptly.
- "Indonesian Development Risks Severe Environmental
Problems." Findings on nitrogen and sulfur air
pollution, according to a joint Indonesian-German study.
Nov. 1992, No. 11:
- "Quebec and Ontario Energy Patterns Would Change
with CO2 Emissions Reductions."
- "CEC Expects to Stabilize CO2 Emissions
by 2000." Reports energy technology and
macroeconomic modeling performed for the European
Community.
Sep. 1992, No. 10:
- "Belgium Initiates New Markal Model for CO2
Reduction."
- "Depleted Gas Fields May Store CO2 in
the Netherlands." MARKAL modeling through the year
2040 shows that CO2 removal and storage
underground, combined with electricity and hydrogen as
energy carriers, will become essential for the
Netherlands to meet stringent emissions restrictions.
