natural systems most likely to be sensitive to climate change; i.e., wetlands,
gas hydrates and permafrost.

reducing emissions and estimates the portion of current and future emissions
that could be reduced.

Compiled an extensive database of measurements primarily on cattle and
sheep, which indicates influences of husbandry, diet, physiological state etc.
However, little experimental data is available for two-thirds of the world's
ruminants in developing countries.
Development of an
Empirical Model of Methane Emissions from Landfills (EPA/600/R-92/037), R.L.
Peer et. al. (Radian Corp., Res. Triangle Pk., N.C.), 1992. NTIS: PB92-152875;
Regression analysis of measurements from 21 U.S. landfills showed that depth
was the best predictor of emissions, with refuse mass second; much variability
in methane recovery remained unexplained. Proposes a model.
