conference: A major United Nations conference in Cairo next
September will outline a plan of action linking population,
economic growth, and sustainable development through human
policies and programs. Related non-governmental activities in the

Clinton
budget: The fiscal year 1995 budget requested by the Clinton
Administration includes a 24 percent jump for the U.S. Global
Change Research Program and changes in energy research support.
The NASA budget would decline for the first time since 1973, but
its Mission to Planet Earth program would see an 18 percent hike.

change directory: The Carbon Dioxide Information Analysis
Center (CDIAC) is compiling for general distribution a
cross-disciplinary International Directory of Global-Change
Researchers, Educators and Policymakers, in both paper and
electronic formats. Subscribers to the free news bulletin CDIAC
Communications, which lists the latest data sets, reports and
other information available from CDIAC, will be automatically
included in the directory (unless they elect otherwise). Others
who wish to be listed or who are interested in CDIAC resources
