According to Trends in Renewable Energies #77, Apr. 26, 1999, the Energy Council of Canada will receive $600,000 from Canada’s Climate Change Action Fund to launch its Action By Canadians initiative. That program uses the model of the United Way to encourage Canadians to pledge to reduce their own emissions.
