Chinese Global-Temperature Study

EarthVision announced on Jan. 14, 1999, that the Chinese-government publication Xinhua had reported that nearly 100 scientists from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and other Chinese research organizations engaged in a national research program on climate change had produced a study of global temperature. They found that the mean global temperature has risen 0.5° C since 1900, and they predicted that it would continue to increase 0.3° C every ten years for the next half-century
